Overview
With this article, you can learn how to share a contact list to a group on Qualtrics. This is an useful information when you want to use same contact list with other people in your group.
Consideration
- Before you share a contact list, it is necessary to create a group that includes yourself and others. This task can be only done by Brand Admin at your institution. Please contact to LTS Training with the following information (who do you want to include in that group, and what is this group for - department name, etc.).
- The shared contact list can only be managed and deleted by the person who has shared with the group. If you are not the person who shared it, please contact to that person to modify the shared list.
Processes
There are two solutions based on different scenarios. If you want to share a contact list which is already created and uploaded on your Qualtrics account, follow the solution 1. If you want to share a contact list to your group which has not been uploaded on Qualtrics, follow the solution 2.
Solution 1: Share a contact list which is already uploaded on Qualtrics

Go to search.uwec.edu and sign in with your UWEC credentials.

Click a hamburger button on the left top corner and select "Directories".![]()

In Directories, there are two menu: Lists and Distribution. Under the Lists, you can check all contact lists which are uploaded on your Qualtrics account. ![]()

Once you find the contact list you want to share with your group, click the three dots and select Share from the drop down menu. ![]()

Once you click Share, you can see all the groups you are in. Select the one you want to share the contact list with and click Continue. ![]()

It will direct you to confirm page, make sure read all the instructions on the page and click Share. ![]()

Now, you can see that the contact list is added to the group (in the image, it is added into TestGroup). From now on, others in the same group with you can see and use this contact list for various purposes (e.g. distribution). ![]()
Solution 2: Share a contact list which is never uploaded on Qualtrics.

Go to search.uwec.edu and sign in with your UWEC credentials.

Click a hamburger button on the left top corner and select "Directories".![]()

In Directories, there are two menu: Lists and Distribution. Under the Lists, choose the group you want to upload and share the contact list (In the image below, I chose TestGroup). Since there has been no uploaded contact list, it will show up as empty.

To create and upload a contact list, click the button "Create a shared list". Once you click it, a confirm page will appear. Read all the instructions and click Confirm. ![]()

For the next step, name your new contact list that will be shared with your group and click Confirm. ![]()

Now, click either Upload a file or Manual input: choose Upload a file if you already created a contact list and saved it on your PC, or choose Manual input if you need to create a new contact list. ![]()

Once all the lists are uploaded, you can see it from the list as shown in the image below. Now, everybody in the same group can see and use this list for various purposes (etc. distribution).
